What is it?

Interlock is a double-knit construction that is generally more stable and substantial than single jersey while retaining softness and stretch. Both sides have the same smooth surface.

Common weights

Interlock is typically produced from 180 gsm to 280 gsm; 200–240 gsm is the most common range for T-shirts, tops and childrenswear.

Typical uses

T-shirts, tank tops, dresses, shorts, trousers, childrenswear and garments that benefit from additional body and stability.

Production considerations

Weight, width, shrinkage, recovery and seam behaviour should be confirmed before production.

Quality starts before production

Relevant fabrics, trims, artwork, print or embroidery requirements and other value-added processes are reviewed against approved product requirements before bulk manufacturing begins.
